Living Room: Comfort and jazz

No, you haven’t arrived at the wrong floor. The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s Living Room is essentially a hotel lobby.

But every night at 10pm this nondescript hall transforms into one of Bangkok’s best venues for live jazz. International singers, saxophonists and drummers often pop into Living Room for a few notes when in town, and the house band, the Shawn Kelly Trio, is reason enough to visit.

Comfy sofas, complimentary snacks and a thick wine list ensure patrons stay for the entire show. On Sundays from 11:30am-3pm the Living Room also hosts a buffet brunch with a live jazz soundtrack. Come day or night, the place often fills up early, so reservations are recommended.
